Android only supports 30 messages per 30 minutes. That means you can send a maximum of 1,440 messages within 24 hours. If you need higher concurrent messaging, we do not recommend using this service. Alternatively, you can choose Twilio, sent.dm, or a custom carrier API.
Android Gateway
Install one app. Scan a QR code. Send your Repeat Raven reminders and campaigns through your own phone, on your own number, at your own carrier's rates. No middleman fees. No paperwork. Done in a minute.
Why use your own phone
Your messages go out on a SIM you already have. Whatever your phone plan charges, that's it. Nothing on top.
No brand approvals, no sender registration, no compliance lawyer. You're just sending texts from your own phone.
Customers see your real number, not a strange short code. Easy to recognise, easy to save, easy to trust.
One heads-up: every carrier has its own rules on bulk SMS from personal SIMs. If you're sending a high volume of messages, it's worth a quick check with your phone provider first.
How it works
Create an account on the website. Free to start, no card needed.
Pick Device as your sending method in the dashboard. A QR code appears on screen.
Pop the Repeat Raven Gateway app onto your Android phone, open it, and point the camera at the QR code. Paired.
Build campaigns and reminders in the dashboard the same as ever. The phone picks them up and fires them at the scheduled time.
What it does
You shouldn't have to think about it. Plug the phone in, leave it on the shelf, get on with your day. It does the rest.
Open the Repeat Raven dashboard, show your phone a QR code, you're paired. No accounts to make, no passwords, no settings to fiddle with.
Your texts go out from the SIM in the phone. Customers see your number on their screen, just like a normal message from you.
Schedule a reminder for 9:01am tomorrow and it goes out at 9:01am, whether the phone is on your desk or sitting in a drawer.
Got a work SIM and a personal SIM in the same phone? Choose the one you want for sending. Change it from settings any time.
Restart your phone, update the app, kick the cat into the charger cable, none of it matters. The gateway starts itself back up and carries on.
Tunnel, lift, dead spot? If a text fails, the phone quietly tries again a couple of times before giving up and telling you why.
SMS goes over the phone network, not the internet. Your gateway keeps sending even if your home Wi-Fi is down.
It does not care what network badge is on the phone. As long as the gateway has internet for jobs and decent mobile reception for SMS, it keeps moving.
Each phone is paired to one Repeat Raven account with its own private key. Lose the phone? One click in the dashboard cuts it off.
Every send reports back to your dashboard with a tick or a reason it didn't make it. No staring at a phone wondering if it worked.
Low battery, offline app, weak signal, stuck queue. The dashboard can flag the boring failures before they become missed reminders.
Last year's Pixel sitting in a drawer is now your SMS engine. Plug it in, leave it on charge, let it do the heavy lifting.
App in action
The UI's job is to make the device's state legible at a glance — is it paired, which SIM, when did it last sync. Ember on warm-white, Plus Jakarta Sans display, JetBrains Mono for anything numeric.
Sign in to your Repeat Raven dashboard on a desktop, open Settings → SMS Provider, and choose Bring Your Own Device. You'll see a pairing QR.

Safe & private
The QR code that pairs the phone to your account only works once and expires after a few minutes. The link between your phone and your Repeat Raven account is encrypted, and the secret that proves it's yours is stored safely on the device. If you ever lose the phone, a single click in the dashboard unpairs it and stops it sending. That's it. No support tickets, no waiting around.
What's coming
We don't have an iPhone version. Apple doesn't allow apps to send SMS on their own, so the bring-your-own-phone option is Android only.
Sign up, choose Device as your sending method, scan the QR. Your spare phone is up and sending before your coffee goes cold.
